Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Friday said that the country needs to build a technology based skilled human resource to take the challenge of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

And keeping this in mind, the government has set a target of increasing the enrollment rate in technical education to 50 percent by 2050, Dipu Moni said.

The minister came up with this observation while she was speaking as the chief guest at a webinar on Friday arranged by the Bangladesh Technical Education Board.

The online seminar was titled “The importance of technical education to be a successful partner of the Fourth Industrial Revolution”.

Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury MP, Secretary of Technical and Madrasa Education Department Md. Aminul Islam Khan were present as special guests at the seminar.
