The court issued arrest warrant against President of Jatiya Bongo League Swakat Hasan Meah on Wednesday for forging sign.

The court issued the arrest warrant for his involvement in forging the sign of Chairman of PHP Group Sufi Mijanur Rahman and demanding Tk 570 million from a private university against house rent.

The court of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate court of Dhaka Md Tofajjal Hossain issued the arrest warrant.

Advocate Abdul Manan Bhuiyan, the lawyer of Sufi Mijanur Rahman, said, "Swakat Hasan Meah who is the owner of Jamalpur Tower at Baridhara in Dhaka filed a case (CR-Case number 411/2019) against Sufi Mijanur Rahman by creating fake documents of house rent and demanded Tk 570 million. Sufi Mijanur Rahman who is also the Trustee of University of Information Technology and Science (UITS) did not sign on any agreement and his lawyer appealed to investigate the matter. Later, UITS filed separate case (CR-Case number 424/2019) challenging the fake documents before the court on December 19 last year."
