Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested Nasim, owner of a Real Estate Company, from Rupnagar area of the capital on Wednesday night.

Confirming the news, Sujoy Sarkar, assistant superintendent of police (ASP) and deputy director (media), RAB headquarters, said Nasim was wanted in 55 cases filed with various police stations.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of elite force conducted a drive in the area and arrested him with foreign arms, counterfeit notes and drugs, he said.

More details will be revealed at a press conference to be held at RAB's media centre at Karwanbazar in the capital later in the day, the official said.
