State Minister for Industries Kamal Ahmed Majumder called for expanding the country’s export market by increasing productivity.
“Like developed countries, the culture of productivity will be strengthened in Bangladesh. The government has fixed a target of 8.2 percent growth for the fiscal 2020-2021 to strengthen the economic activities of the country by overcoming the Coronavirus pandemic,” he said.
The state minister was speaking as the chief guest at a discussion program titled “Productivity in building the ‘Sonar Bangla’ as per dream of the Father of the Nation” organized by the National Productivity Organization (NPO) on the occasion of National Productivity Day 2020, said a press release.
Kamal Majumder directed the officials of the Industries Ministry and all its affiliated departments to continue providing all necessary assistance to the overall industry to achieve the goal of building ‘Sonar Bangla’.
Industries Secretary KM Ali Azam presided over the programme while Additional Secretary of the Industries Ministry Lutfun Nahar Begum was the special guest.
