Country’s most of the students, teachers, guardians and education officers are in favour of reopening academic institution.
Of the students, 75 percent studying at primary and secondary level would like to return classes as soon as possible while some 76 percent guardians expressed their opinion on resumption of schools.
A study conducted by ‘Mass Literacy Campaign’ revealed this information.
The study report was published in a virtual press conference on Tuesday.
Rasheda K Chowdhury, executive director of Mass Literacy Campaign, talked about the study elaborately.
The organisation also recommended that declaration of specific plan on reopening of schools in phases should come from the government side following health guidelines.
The study report revealed that some 73 percent district education officers are of the opinion that schools should reopen. Some 80 percent officers of the non-government organisations (NGOs) also agreed to reopen educational institutions.
Some 82 percent teachers emphasised on proper health regulations, including use of masks, sanitizer and maintaining social distancing, before reopening of schools.
