A week-long strict lockdown is being enforced across the country since April 14 to prevent coronavirus or Covid-19 infection.

The lockdown will continue till midnight on April 21. In the meantime, the government is considering further extension of the ongoing all-out lockdown for another week.

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain informed media on Saturday that there are suggestions to extend the ongoing lockdown. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will give her final decision in this regard.

After the meeting on Monday or the next day (Tuesday), next course of action will be notified, he added.
