The government has decided to extend the ongoing lockdown by one more week.

As per the new decision, the lockdown will continue till midnight on May 5. The shops will remain open from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm every day maintaining health guidelines but public transport will not be operational this time.

All other restrictions, imposed during the lockdown will remain effective during the extended period.

A gazette notification may be issued in this regard on Tuesday, said State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain.
