Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque has said that the health sector of the country got less importance.

"We have not given emphasis on the health sector. The Covid-19 pandemic is teaching that if there is disaster in the healthcare, all development halts, peace is destroyed and social unrest is created," he said.

Zahid Maleque made the remarks while addressing a discussion on the occasion of BSMMU's 24th founding anniversary on Thursday (April 29).
