BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's medical examination has been delayed due to a two-day public holiday.

As a result, the BNP chairperson will have to stay in hospital for some days more.

Khaleda Zia may be taken home from the hospital by next Thursday after complettion of her tests.

Personal physician of Khaleda Zia and vice chairman of the party Prof AZM Zahid Hossain gave this information while talking to journalist on Saturday.

Prof Zahid Hossain informed that doctors suggested some new tests after the examination.

Khaleda Zia's physical condition is stable and much better. Although her medical tests are being carried out. Doctors have visited her today. And some tests will be done tomorrow. The progress of her health examinations has been delayed due to weekly holidays on Friday and Saturday, Dr Zahid added.
