Bangladesh reported 65 deaths from Covid-19 in the 24 hours till 8:00 am on Monday, according to a release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services.
The latest death toll has pushed the total number of deaths tally to 11,644.
Among the latest day's victims, 42 were men, and 23 were women.
Besides, 1,739 people tested positive for the virus, bringing the total number of infected patients to 76,36,82 said the release.
The death rate now stands at 1.52 and the infection rate at 8.95.
In the meantime, 3,834 patients got recoveries from the virus during the same period. The total number of recoveries now stands at 69,11,62 with the recovery rate at 90.50.
Bangladesh is currently under a nationwide lockdown which is scheduled to continue till May 5 to tackle a second wave of the pandemic, and Govt has already extended this ongoing lockdown till May 16.
