Bangladesh’s per capita income is increased to $2,227 from $2064 in 2019-20 fiscal year that was once $543 in the FY 2005-2006, according to the proposed budget speech.
The average life expectancy also stood at 72.6 years, which was 65.4 in FY 2005-2006.
As per the proposed budget document, the poverty rate has also become half in the last 15 years. The poverty rate was 41.5 percent in FY 2005-2006 and now it has come down to 20.5 percent.
Foreign exchange reserve also crossed $45 billion in May 31, 2021, which was just $0.744 billion in FY 2005-2006.
