A mother gave birth to triplets at a hospital in Savar on Saturday.

Among the babies two are girls while another is a boy, said family members.

Mother Shariman Aktar Rila is a teacher of the English department at Dosaid AK School and College in Ashulia and wife of Mizanur Rahman Rustam of Gorakandi village in Ishwarganj upazila of Mymensing district.

One of the babies is in good health while the others are slightly underweight, said Arif Hossain, duty doctor of the Newborn Intensive Care Unit of Enam Medical College and Hospital.

Gynecologist Dr Nasima Begum conducted the cesarean section of the mother, he added.
