The vice-chancellors of 35 public universities across the country observed that the chaotic sitatuation at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) demanding the removal of its VC is a conspiracy.

Also, they termed the demand for resignation of the SUST VC "unethical".

The vice-chancellors made the observation in an urgent meeting held virtually to discuss the present situation at SUST, said a statement issued by the Association of Universities of Bangladesh.

According to the statement, the current protest of the students seems to be a part of a conspiracy to destroy the education system by creating anarchy in SUST and other institutions.
