Bangladesh were struggling at 11-3, before bad light stopped play in the final session on day four of the first Test at Kingsmead in Durban Sunday.

Bangladesh needed 263 more runs to win, with Najmul Hasan Shanto and Mushfiqur Rahim at the crease to lead Bangladesh’s charge after the Tigers restricted South Africa to 204-10.

Protea spinner Keshav Maharaj and Simon Harmer rattled the Tigers, taking three wickets in quick succession.

Opener Shadman Islam was first one to go as he nicked a straight forward delivery by Harmer to the awaiting fielder at slip.

Mahmudul Hasan, who was batting on four, was castled, missing a delivery by Maharaj that went straight on with the arm.

Skipper Mominul Haque didn’t last long as he was trapped on the crease by Maharaj. Mominul, who scored two runs, went back to a full-length delivery but failed to make contact with his bat.

Bangladesh bowled out South Africa for 204 runs after a remarkable turnaround after lunch on day four, taking nine wickets for 99 runs in the next two sessions.
