Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Saturday said that the 6.15 kilometre long Padma Bridge is the symbol of dignity as well as revenge to humiliation.

He said this at the Padma Bridge inauguration programme at Mawa end. 

Mentioning that Padma bridge is the symbol of Bangladesh’s capability, he said, “The whole nation salutes our PM. The whole world admires you today. You proved yes we can. We have built Padma Bridge with our own money. Bangabandhu's daughter did not bow her head"

He said that the name of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be remembered with respect till Padma Bridge exists.
