Jewellers have raised the price of gold by Tk 1,983 to Tk 84, 331 per bhori (11.664 grams) due to a hike in the price of the precious metal in the international market.

The price of 22-carat gold is now Tk 84, 331 per bhori; 21-carat Tk 80,482; 18-carat Tk 68,993 and traditional gold Tk 56,979.

As per press release issued by Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS), the new price will be effective from Sunday.

The price of silver will remain unchanged. The price of 22-carat silver is Tk 1,516 per bhori; 21-carat Tk 1,435: 18-carat Tk 1,225 and traditional Tk 933.
