Banks asked to halt evening services to save electricity

Bangladesh Bank has ordered banks to halt evening services from any branch in an effort to save electricity amid the lingering energy crisis.
The central bank announced the decision on Tuesday, saying the order will remain in force until further notice.
Earlier in August, the central bank directed all banks to provide customer services from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm in line with new office hours.
