The government has determined new prices of palm oil and sugar.

From now on, per litre palm oil will be sold at Tk 133, per kg packet sugar maximum at Tk 89 and loose sugar at Tk 84 per kg. 

The commerce ministry fixed the prices this afternoon.

It was informed from the commerce ministry that palm oil price per litre was fixed at Tk 133 decreasing TK 12. Earlier, the price of per litre palm oil was Tk 145.  

Decreasing Tk 6, per kg loose sugar has now been set at Tk 84 and packet sugar per kg fixed at Tk 89.

Earlier, per kg sugar price was Tk 90-95 in the open market. 

The new prices determined by the government will be effective from September 25.
