Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has underscored need for cultivating every chunk of land and utilising other resources to fight economic recession likely to hit the world next year.
Addressing press conference on the outcome of her recent visit to the UK and US at her official residence Ganabhaban in the capital Dhaka on Thursday, she called upon the countrymen to be cautious in this regard.
Cultivating land is needed to ensure food safety and mitigate the economic recession, she opined.
“During my visit to the UK and USA, I came across global leaders and experts. All of them made an apprehension that the next year (2023) will be crucial for economic recession. So, people will have to cultivate every inch of land and utilise other resources,” she said.
