Md Golam Rabbani, Registrar of the High Court (HC) Division has been appointed as the registrar general of the Supreme Court (SC).

Prior to this, senior zila judge Golam Rabbani was discharging his duty as the registrar of HC Division, according to a gazette notification issued here today.

As per gazette of the Law and Justice Division, signed by deputy secretary (Administration-1) Sheikh Golam Mahbub, chief judicial magistrate of Cox's Bazar Alamgir Mohammad Farooqi was made additional registrar of HC Division while research officer at Bangladesh Law Commission Md Hasan Arifur Rahman got the post of deputy registrar.

Narail Joint District and Sessions Judge AHM Toaha was transferred to the post of deputy registrar of Supreme Court (SC) while Kushtia senior assistant judge Rashedur Rahman to assistant registrar, Jhenaidah zila legal aid officer Begum Selina Khatun to assistant registrar and Patuakhali judicial magistrate Shovon Shahriar to assistant registrar of SC.
