Country Director of World Food Program (WFP) Domenico Scalpelli met Major General (retd.) ATM Abdul Wahab, chairman of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) on Thursday.

The meeting was held at the BDRCS headquarters in the capital when Deputy Country Director of the WFP Simone Parchment and Senior Advisor Md. Mohsin were also present.

They discussed ways for further collaboration and to strengthen partnership with the Bangladesh Red Crescent Society and the UN World Food Program.

Vice chairman of the governing board of BDRCS Md. Nur-Ur-Rahman and the board member M. Manzurul Islam were also present in the meeting that also discussed potential collaboration. 

The Secretary General of BDRCS Kazi Shafiqul Azam, Director of Disaster Response unit Mijanur Rahman and the Director of Fundraising Department Dr. Shahana Zafor also attended the meeting.
