Former BNP leader, minister and chief of recently registered Trinomool BNP Barrister Nazmul Huda passed away Sunday night. He was 80.

He breathed his last at the city’s Square Hospital around 10:25 pm.

Nazmul Huda left behind wife Advocate Sigma Huda, two daughters, a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn the death.

He was minister of information from 1991 to 1996 and minister of communications from 2001 to 2006.

Huda floated new party Trinomool BNP which got registration from the Election Commission recently.
