The holy month of Ramadan will start on March 23 or 24 depending on the sighting of the moon. Like in previous years, secondary schools and colleges will remain closed for the entire month of Ramadan. However, primary school classes will continue till 15 Ramadan.
Director General of Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) Professor Nehal Ahmed said that the Ministry of Education has sent the list of holidays to the schools at the beginning of the year.
According to the schedule, educational institutions will remain closed from the beginning of Ramadan. Primary school holidays will start on April 7. As a result, classes will run till the 15th Ramadan.
According to the holiday list of secondary schools and colleges, the Ramadan vacation will begin in public and private high schools from Thursday (March 23) and will continue till April 27 (Thursday). Holidays in colleges and technical institutes will also begin on March 23 and in Madrasa on Wednesday (March 22).
Mahbubur Rahman Tuhin, public relations officer of the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, said that the vacation of primary schools under the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education will begin on April 7 and will continue until April 27. This holiday is applicable in the case of 65 thousand of government schools. However, primary schools affiliated with the Ministry of Education will not be covered under this holiday.
