Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will be held in short syllabus in 2024.

Exams of all subjects will be held with full marks and time will be three hours next year.

The decision was disclosed on Thursday in a notification signed by Professor Tapan Kumar Sarkar, head of Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee and also chairman of Dhaka Education Board.

According to the notification, HSC and equivalent examinations in 2024 will be held by revising 2023 syllabus prepared by NCTB.

Led by Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni, a decision on 2024 exams to be held in short syllabus prepared for 2023 HSC and equivalent exams was taken at a meeting held at International Mother Language Institute in the capital on June 20.
