Law Minister Anisul Huq said his ministry will submit a legal opinion on an application filed by family of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia seeking permission for her overseas treatment.

Being enlarged on an executive order of the government after conviction in two graft cases, Khaleda Zia is receiving treatment in city’s Evercare Hospital with a health condition deteriorating gradually.

In the aftermath of the application, the law minister told journalists on Thursday that he will give an opinion shortly.

His remarks came a day after BNP leaders announced to go to court soliciting judicial permission to take Khaleda Zia abroad for better treatment.
