A court in Dhaka has sentenced former director of International Leasing and Finance Service Ltd (ILFSL) Proshanta Kumar Halder, also known as PK Halder, to 22 years of imprisonment in two cases filed over amassing wealth illegally and money laundering.

Dhaka Special Judge Court-10 Judge Mohammad Nazrul Islam handed down the verdict on Sunday.

He was jailed for 10 years for illegally amassing money and 12 years for laundering money.

The court also fined PK Halder Tk333 crore.
