Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina on Thursday urged the parties to join the upcoming 12th parliamentary election, overcoming their indecision about the issue.

She made the call while addressing her party's parliamentary nomination board meeting at the office of Dhaka district unit Awami League in Tejgaon.

“The polls will be fair and neutral and there is no doubt about it,” she said.

On November 15, the Election Commission announced the polls schedule and set January 7 for holding the election.

Urging all to build resistance against the ongoing hartal, blockade, and arson terrorism, the Awami League president reiterated her call to the countrymen to vote for her party's electoral symbol “boat” to serve them again.
