Popular small screen actor Mehezabien Chowdhury has acted in a new drama titled ‘Ananya’ after a long-hiatus.

She is playing the title role in the project. Noted TV maker Muhammad Mustafa Kamal Raz has directed the play.

The story of the play revolves around a woman’s struggle with her child. The shooting of the project has already been completed at different locations in the capital.

About the drama, Mehezabien said, ‘I’m not regular in the play now. I returned in front of the camera after a long time because the story and character of Ananya are to my liking. And one of the makers I trust is Muhammad Mustafa Kamal Raz. If the audience likes our new work, then the effort will be successful.

Director Raz said, “The drama Ananya is a woman-centric story. The play can inspire girls to fight and survive. I can say that Mehezabien did the work with heart.”

Actors Shashwat Datta and Dolly Johur will play two important roles in the project.

Jahan Sultana and Zakaria Newaz have jointly written the play. ‘Ananya’ will be released on YouTube channel Cinemawala on December 16.

‘Ananya’ will be the fifth and last drama of Mehezabien Chowdhury in 2023. On the first day of this year, she played the role of Kajol in Vicky Zahed’s telefilm ‘Kajoler Dinratri’ which aired on Deepto TV.

On June 30, the day after Eid-ul-Azha, Mehezabien was seen in the role of Neela Haque and Rokeya in the web series ‘Punorjonmo Ontim Porbo’ aired on Channel i. Vicky Zahed also directed the last episode of the series ‘Punorjonmo’.
