Singer Pagal Hasan was killed in a head-on collision between a bus and a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Chhatak upazila of Sunamganj on Thursday.

The incident took place around 6:30 am, claiming the lives of Hasan and another person, according to Jalal Ahmed, station officer of Chhatak Fire Service and Civil Defense.

Jalal Ahmed said that the auto-rickshaw was traveling on the Chhatak-Doarabazar road towards Chhatak upazila when it collided with an oncoming bus, resulting in immediate fatalities at the scene.

The bodies have been recovered and handed over to the police for autopsy.

Pagol Hasan came to prominence with his songs "Asmane Jaiona Re Bondhu", "Tore Amar Dile Dhai'rache", "Baba Tomar Dorbare" and "Hridoy Majhe", amongst others.
