A high-level US delegation is coming to Bangladesh to discuss multidimensional cooperation between the two countries.

Foreign Secretary Md Jashim Uddin said this in response to questions from journalists on Thursday evening.

Regarding the visit, he said after the interim government took over, the US delegation is coming to Dhaka (for the first time).

“This is a great reflection of the importance that the United States attaches to the relationship with Bangladesh. You know who is in the delegation. This implies that this discussion will be multi-dimensional, it will not be limited to just one topic.”

When asked which issues will be given importance on the agenda, Jashim said, "We will talk about issues related to our interests and there will be multidimensionality in it. But I do not want to influence the discussion by revealing any specific agenda items before the discussion or before the delegation sits.”
