Inflation fell for the second consecutive month in September to 9.92% after surging to 11.66% in July riding on nationwide unrest.
In another positive note, September's fool inflation rate was lower compared with the same month last year, even though the overall annual inflation rate was higher.
In August this year, the inflation rate was 10.49%, according to BBS data.
In September, food inflation fell to 10.40% from 11.36% in August, and non-food inflation fell to 9.50% from 9.74% in August. In September last year, food inflation was 12.37%, and overall inflation was 9.63%.
