Newly appointed Chairman of Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) Prof Dr Mobasser Momen and four of its members will take oath on Tuesday.

Chief Justice Dr Syed Refaat Ahmed will administer the oath at Judges Lounge of the Supreme Court.

The interim government on October 9 appointed Dr Mobasser Momen, a professor of the Public Administration Department of Dhaka University as the new Chairman of the PSC.

Subsequently, the government also appointed four members of the PSC. They are- Dr Nurul Kadir, Dr Md Aminul Islam, Dr Md Nazmul Amin and Md Sujayet Ullah.

Previous chairman of PSC chairman Md Sohrab Hossain and 11 members tendered their resignation on October 8, 2024.
