Bangladesh Bank (BB) has issued a stern warning regarding the unauthorised use of its logo (monogram) in online and social media advertisements.

In a statement released to the media on Sunday, the central bank revealed that its logo is being illegally used in notices promoting recruitment opportunities in various organisations and schemes for earning money online.

“These fraudulent advertisements and recruitment notices, featuring the BB logo without authorisation, have the potential to deceive and harm unsuspecting individuals,” the statement cautioned.

The central bank clarified that it has no association with these recruitment notices or online employment opportunities that misuse its logo.

To ensure the authenticity of any information related to the central bank, people have been urged to rely solely on its official website: www.bb.org.bd.

The statement also emphasised that Bangladesh Bank does not post recruitment advertisements on social media.
