Nestlé Bangladesh Limited, a leading Swiss-based food manufacturer, has announced that it is going to export ‘NESPRAY’ to Sri Lanka for the first time as the company seeks new and diversified market, said a statement.
The company sees Sri Lanka as a big consumer market and a test bed for Nestlé products to be sold outside Bangladesh.
This initiative is expected to benefit both the countries.
The company celebrated its export to Sri Lanka with a programme in the city recently.
Shubhashish Bose, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, and Crisanthe De Silva, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Bangladesh, were present as chief guests.
Md Mahfuzul Hoque, Chairman, Bangladesh Food Safety Authority, Shehzad Munim, President, Foreign Investors’ Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Md Enamul Haque, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Md Nizam Uddin, Director, Halal Department, Islamic Foundation Bangladesh, and Enamul Haque, Managing Director, Head of Global Banking and Acting CEO, SCB, attended the programme as special guests.
Deepal Abeywickrema, Managing Director of Nestlé Bangladesh Ltd., along with the guests cut a cake to celebrate the occasion.
