BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman is set to take part in 14 election rallies across Dhaka over the next two days, party leaders said on Saturday.

The information was shared at a press conference held at the BNP Election Steering Committee office in Gulshan by Mahdi Amin, spokesperson of the party’s central election management committee and adviser to the BNP chairman.

According to the announcement, Tarique will address six election rallies in Dhaka North City Corporation areas on Sunday (8 Feb), including his own constituency, Dhaka-17.

His scheduled rallies include ECB premises in Dhaka-17 at 2:00pm, Pallabi’s Lal Math near the metro station in Dhaka-16 at 2:40pm, Mirpur-10 Senpara area in Dhaka-15 at 3:30pm, National Bangla High School area in Dhaka-14 at 4:20pm, Shyamoli Club ground in Dhaka-13 at 5:10pm, and Sun Valley ground in Badda’s Satarkul area in Dhaka-11 at 6:00pm.

On Monday (9 Feb), Tarique will attend eight election rallies, including one in his Dhaka-17 constituency, and seven others in Dhaka South City Corporation areas.

These include rallies at Banani Kamal Ataturk Avenue playground at 11:00am, Kalabagan Krira Chakra ground in Dhaka-10 at 12:00pm, Pir Jongi Mazar Road in Dhaka-8 at 1:00pm, Basabo Tarun Sangha ground in Dhaka-9 at 2:00pm, Jatrabari Shahid Faruk Road at 3:00pm, Jurain–Dayaganj Road in Dhaka-4 at 4:00pm, Dhopkhola field in Dhaka-6 at 5:00pm, and Lalbagh Balur Math in Dhaka-7 at 6:00pm.

The rallies are part of the BNP’s campaign ahead of the upcoming national parliamentary election.
