The coal-fired Barapukuria thermal power plant in Dinajpur will resume operation in early September.
Power Division Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus came up with the announcement after attending a workshop in Power office.
Adequate coals have been stored for supplying electricity uninterruptedly, he said.
Coals will be imported from abroad, if requires to run Barapukuria, the secretary said further.
