In a speech at an Easter Sunday celebration in Vatara, Local Government, Rural Development, and Co-operatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir asserted that there is no room for religious division in Bangladesh’s progress.
He criticized certain political forces for attempting to exploit religion for self-interest, emphasizing that the nation remains committed to being a non-communal state where faith is a personal matter.
Addressing the ongoing energy crisis, the Minister urged the public not to panic or succumb to rumors, assuring that the government is working tirelessly to import fuel and maintain sufficient stocks.
Finally, he expressed gratitude for the public's support in the formation of the BNP-led government under Tarique Rahman's leadership, pledging to lead the country toward a path of truth and justice.
