A Dhaka court on Sunday (August 5) granted four-day remand for actor Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed, on charge of spreading rumors on Facebook over the emerging situation of the country.
The court of Metropolitan Magistrate Mazharul Huq passed the order, after holding a hearing on the remand plea.
Bikash Kumar Paul, probe officer of the case, produced Nawshaba before the court and sought seven days of remand for her.
Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested her from the city’s Uttara on Saturday night (August 4), under ICT Act.
Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed, mostly famous for her role in Bangladesh’s first ever blockbuster cop thriller ‘Dhaka Attack’, was later handed over to Uttara West Police Station on Sunday (August 5), after taking her to RAB-1 office for interrogation.
