Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that all pond, khal, beal have to be re-dredging for pure drinking water.

The Prime Minister said “We have taken 100 years step 'Delta plan' till 2100 year to improve water.”  

We have target to break all box culvert if  we come in power in next general election. We will take plan to overcome flood. We have taken various step to improve water treatment plant,” The premier said.

“We took step for solving water problem after came in power in 1996 as water’s another name is life. But we could not finish the problem. When we came in power again in 2009, we improved water criss and established Saidabad Water Treatment Plant one and two. We have also plan to establish Saidabad Water Treatment Plant three,” the prime minister said.

The Prime Minister made this discussion while laying foundation stone of  Dasher Kandi sewage wastewater treatment plant of Dhaka WASA today (Sunday) at  Hotel Sonargaon in Dhaka.

"We have plan to build 20-storey building for slam dwellers where they will pay house rent as per their facility. No slams will be  in the capital. We are also building Elevated Expressway, metro rail, bullet train for transport facility," the prime minister said.
