The government has made mandatory for all traveling on public money to fly Biman Bangladesh Airlines to destinations where it operates flights.

The Prime Minister Office today issued a circulation signed by Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister Md Nazibur Rahman in this regard.

The circulation said from now on all traveling on public money must fly Biman Bangladesh Airlines to those routes where the national flag carrier operates flights.

Other carriers can only be used to those destinations where Biman Bangladesh Airlines doesn’t operate its flights, it added.

The circular said the directive will be effective for ministers, state ministers, deputy ministers, parliament members, constitutional post holders, chairmen and members and employees of the commissions, formed by the government, and officials and employees of all government, semi-government and autonomous bodies, corporations, constitutional bodies and government projects.
