‘Dhaka University Telemedicine Program’ has won the ‘Third Commonwealth Digital Health Award’.

The university achieved the award in the telemedicine category for outstanding contribution to developing healthcare quality in rural areas across the country, said a DU press release on Sunday.

Director of Dhaka University Telemedicine Program and Honorary Professor of Biomedical Physics and Technology (BMPT) department Dr Khondakar Siddique-e-Rabbani received the award at a function held in Colombo, Sri Lanka on October 12. 

Dhaka University Telemedicine Program is being conducted by the BMPT department.
