A total of 501 members of Bangladesh Police will be honoured with the IGP badges, the second highest accolade among the force, as recognition of their exemplary performances in various fields.

Inspector General of Police Mohammad Javed Patwary will hand over the ‘IGP Exemplary Good Services Badges’ to the recipients on Feb 6 during the Police Week event. 

A circular, signed by Additional Deputy Inspector General (Intelligence and special affairs) of police Md Moniruzzaman, disclosed the names of 2019’s awardees.

The 501 members have been instructed to report at the Rajarbagh Police Lines in the capital on Feb 4.

Among the 501 police members, 143 will get the 'A' category badges, 159 'B' category badged, 83 'C' category badges, 15 'D' category badges, 65 'E' category badges and 36 members will receive 'F' category badges.
