Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader has talked to doctors and relatives after he was taken off the breathing tube on Saturday morning.
He may be shifted to a cabin from the coronary care unit of Singapore’s Mount Elizabeth Hospital after he recovers from all physical weaknesses, his ministry said in a statement quoting Dr Abu Nasar Rizvi, a professor at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), who has accompanied him to the city-state.
Quader was flown to the Singapore hospital from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) on Monday for better treatment as per advice of renowned Indian cardiologist Dr Devi Shetty, who visited Bangladesh on that day only to examine him.
Just a day before, Sunday morning, the minister was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) as he complained of breathing problems.
After conducting an angiogram, doctors found three blockages in his coronary arteries.
