Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni on Sunday urged all to ensure an education and research-friendly environment in all the universities of the country.

She also urged all stakeholders to remain vigilant so that no-one can impede the universities from fulfilling their main purpose of providing an environment facilitating education, research and quest for higher knowledge by getting diverted into politics. 

Dr Moni was talking at a view-exchange meeting with the teachers of Chittagong Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (CVASU).

“We do politics and it’s not outside the society. But the politics should be fundamental and should be historical, traditional, cultural,” she said.

CVASU vice-chancellor Professor Dr Gautam Buddha Das presided over the programme while Deputy Education Minister Barrister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Naoufel was present as the special guest.
