Tarunno, a voluntary organisation of Islamic University, celebrated its 10th founding anniversary on the campus in Kushtia on Monday.

A daylong programme, including a procession, discussion and cake cutting, was held on the occasion.

Organisation members brought out a procession from in front of IU Birshrestha Hamidur Rahman Auditorium in the afternoon.

The procession ended at the same place after parading through main roads of the campus. Later, an anniversary cake was cut and a discussion was held there.

Tarunno’s advisers and IU syndicate member Prof M Mahbubar Rahman and IU Law department Prof M Shahjahan Mondol, its president Sheikh Raihan Uddin and general secretary Sadia Afrin Khan were present on the occasion.

Tarunno has been running social welfare activities on the campus since 2009.
