Jagannath University administration has banned entry of the students into the campus after 10pm to check undesirable incidents.

The prohibition was announced in a notification signed by Registrar of the university Engineer M Wahiduzzaman on Wednesday. “The university administration took the decision for security reason as incidents of drug addiction, snatching and extortion increased recently,” he said. 

The students have been asked not to hang around in the campus for security reasons after 10-30 pm because some unwanted incidents took place at the campus recently, said the notification.

Besides, the proctor of the university will supervise the related issues, it said.
