In the latest reshuffle in the police administration, five senior police officers have been promoted to the post of Additional Inspector General of Police (IGP) on Wednesday.

Public Security Division under the Home Ministry has already issued a notification in this regard.

According to the notification, Rector of Police Staff College, Additional IGP (Current Charge) Sheikh Mohammad Maruf Hasan, Additional IGP (Current Charge) of Criminal Investigation Department, Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun and Additional IGP (Current Charge of Highway Police) Barrister Mahbubur Rahman were made Additional IGP of grade-2 post.

Two others promoted senior officers are—DIG of Special Branch (SB), Biswash Afzal Hossain and DIG of SB, Mahbub Hossain
