Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today said the government will find out the people behind the ongoing onion price hike.  

The premier made the remark while addressing the third council of Bangladesh Awami Swechchhasebak League at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital.  

She said the government has taken the initiative to import onion by air in a bid to ease the unrest in the local market.

"The onion will reach the country by tomorrow or the day after," she added.

She further said: "There are some people who cannot tolerate the betterment of the people and they spread misinformation among the people. Therefore, people should be very careful about them."

The prime minister reiterated that drives against drugs and corruption will be continued.
