Thirteen pedestrians, including two women and a child, were injured when a car went off-road and hit them in front of Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital on Sunday (Feb 23) morning.

The identities of the injured, five of them in critical condition, could not be known yet.

Officer-in-charge of Cantonment Police Station Kazi Shahan Haque told Banglanews that the injured were taken to Kurmitola General Hospital after the incident.

The critically injured were shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, he added.
 
Police arrested the private car driver and seized the vehicle, the OC said.
