Chairman of Parliamentary Standing Committee on LGRD and Cooperatives Ministry Abul Hasnat Abdullah, MP has got the status of minister.

He was given the status through a notification signed by Cabinet Division secretary on Thursday, said an official release on Friday.

According to the notification, Abdullah, convener of the committee to implement the Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) peace accord signed between National Committee on Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs and the Parbatya Chattagram Jana-Samhati Samiti, will get rank, salary and allowances and other facilities equivalent to a minister till he serves the post.
